Elected<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left ctlb-block-desc wp-block-paragraph\">On 22 April 2003, Khilafat Electoral Committee established by Hazrat Muslih Mau\u2018ud (may Allah be pleased with him), held with Chaudhri Hameedullah, the then Wakil-e-A\u2018la, Tahrik Jadid presiding over the election in London. Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad was elected as the fifth Khalifa of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. According to the tradition, he first took the Bai&#8217;at (Oath of Allegiance) and then led the funeral prayer of Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad. About 40,000 people participated in the funeral prayers. A property in the vicinity was also bought for a missionary house.
