Forty-Third Annual Ahmadiyya Convetion
Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) graced the Annual Ahmadiyya Convention No. 43 of USA Jama’at from 28-30 June 1991. The annual gathering was held at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan. About 4,000 people attended the convention.
The convention began with the Friday sermon by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV. The mayor of the city of Ypsilanti also attended the opening session. In the afternoon, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV viewed the Ahmadiyya Exhibition with guests. A historical documentary film covering a hundred years of Ahmadiyya history was also presented to the large number of guests in the Auditorium of the University.
On Saturday, June 29, 1991, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV addressed the ladies’ section. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, Vol. 72, April-September 2020, pp. 128).
Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) presided over the concluding session of the convention. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V said:

Masud Ahmad Jhelumi Passes Away
Missionary Masud Ahmad Jhelumi passed away on 23 August 1992 due to heart pathology.
Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV said on his death: He was steadfast in face of trials and always advised his children to stay connected with Markaz with devotion. He secured a place in his heart due to these qualities. He died on August 23, 1992, due to heart pathology. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’oon. He was buried in a cemetery in Frankfurt. He was loyal to the Jama’at for sure. He left behind his wife and three children. Inauguration of Bait-ur-Rahman
Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) inaugurated Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque in Silver Spring, MD. The National Headquarters of USA Jama’at was moved to this location. First, the Jumu‘a sermon was delivered by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV and the salat was led by him.
The ceremony was attended by more than 7,000 Ahmadi Muslims from all over the US, Canada and other countries. They were joined by members of the US Congress, an ex-president of the World Bank, several ambassadors, the attorney general of the state of Maryland, chairman of the Montgomery County Council, several mayors and high-ranking officials and members of the press media.

Forty-Sixth Ahmadiyya Annual Convention
The 46th Ahmadiyya Annual Convention of the USA was held at the newly constructed Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque for two days. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV delivered inaugural address on 14 October.
The next day, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV presided over the morning session of the Jalsa in the Lajna section. Then, he graced the men’s section in the afternoon session and delivered his final address at the end of which he led silent prayer. The number of guests who attended the Convention was over 6,000. Forty-Ninth Annual Convention
The Forty-Ninth Annual Convention of the US Jama’at was held at Bait-ur-Rahman Silver Spring, Maryland from 20-22 June 1997.
On 20 June 1997, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV delivered Friday sermon. In the evening starting at 8 PM, he held Majlis-i-Irfan [question/answer session] amid three hundred guests and thousands of members of the US Jama’at.
He addressed the Lajna Ima’illah USA in the morning session of the convention on 21 June 1997. Later in the evening, he held Majlis-i-Irfan [question/answer session] in the Lajna section while the men watched the question-answer session on closed circuit T.V.
He delivered the concluding address on 22 June 1997 and closed the Ahmadiyya Convention USA with revered prayers. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, August 1997, p. 4).

A Sahabi Visits the US
Hazrat Maulawi Ata Muhammad, a companion of the Promised Messiah, was invited by Missionary Mir Mahmud Ahmad Nasir in September 1979 for a visit to the US. He was in Canada on a private visit. Khalifatul-Masih IV Announces Waqf-e-Jadid Positions
Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV announced in his Friday Sermon that Jama’at Ahmadiyya USA contributed more to Waqf-e-Jadid than the rest of the world. Jama’at USA was second in Tahrik-e-Jadid in 1996. The 50th Ahmadiyya Convention was held on the premises of Bait-ur-Rahman, Silver Spring, Maryland on 26-28 June 1998. The convention started with Friday the sermon by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV said: “Spend your wealth in the way of Allah according to your real capacity. Do not do any dishonesty in it.” (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, July-August 1998, p. 1, pp. 17-19).
After the Jalsa program, in the evening, after leading Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers, he held Majlis-i-Irfan [question/answer session] on the main men’s floor of the mosque with simultaneous transmission to the Lajna section and to the rest of the world via MTA.
On 27 June, he addressed the Lajna Ima’illah. He had lunch with dignitaries and special guests in the basement of the Bait-ur-Rahman where a grand exhibition was arranged. He held another Majlis-i-Irfan [question/answer session] after leading combined Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers. The proceeding was telecasted live by MTA.
Some of the guests were given the opportunity to address the Annual Ahmadiyya Convention on the last day, 28 June 1998. They applauded the contributions of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) to the world’s peace. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV then delivered his concluding address. Khalifatul-Masih IV Laid Foundation Stone
Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) laid the foundation stone of Bait-us-Samee Mosque, Houston, TX. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, Vol. 72, April-September 2020, p. 139).
The mosque was completed in 2004 and was inaugurated by Amir Jama’at Dr. Ahsanullah Zafar.

Irshad Ahmad Malhi Arrives
Missionary Irshad Ahmad Malhi arrived in the US. He served as Northwest Regional Missionary from November 1999 to June 2010 and East Midwest region from July 2010 to June 2014. Fifty-First Annual Ahmadiyya Convention
The Fifty-First Annual Ahmadiyya Convention USA was held at Capitol Expo Conference Center, Chantilly, Virginia. More than 3,000 attended the convention. The first session of the convention was chaired by Sahibzadah M.M. Ahmad, Amir, Ahmadiyya Community, USA, who also delivered the inaugural address. Mohammad Zafarullah Hanjra Arrives
Mohammad Zafarullah Hanjra arrived in the United States.
He served the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA in Dayton, Columbus, Cleveland, Athens, Detroit and Indiana. In 2004, he was transferred to the Houston, Texas region where he spent ten years.
In 2014, he was posted to Los Angeles, California which included San Diego, Las Vegas, and Arizona. Three years later, in October of 2017, he was transferred to Chicago, Illinois. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette, USA, Vol. 72, Nos. 10-12 and Vol. 73, Nos. 1-9, October 2020-September 2021, p. 57).
