Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV appointed Qamar Ahmad Shams as the Sadr Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya, USA with effect from 20 January 1990. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, Jan-Feb 1990, p. 4).

Forty-Second Annual Ahmadiyya Convention

The Forty-Second Annual Ahmadiyya Convention USA was held at Detroit, Michigan. Message from Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) was read. One thousand seven hundred and fifty (1750) attended. Also, forty-one non-Ahmadis were present to attend the convention. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, August 1990, p. 18).

Majlis-i-Shura

Consultative Committee Meeting (Majlis-i-Shura) of US Jama’at was held at Bait-ul-Ahad, Cleveland, Ohio. Sahibzadah Mirza Muzaffar Ahmad welcomed the national executives, presidents and delegates from thirty-six chapters of the US Jama’at. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, May-June 1991, p. 12).

Khuddam Ijtima

The 16th annual Ijtima‘ of Majlis Khuddam-ul-Ahmadiyya was held in the Washington D.C area. About 400 Khuddam and Atfal attended. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, May-July 1991, p. 20).

Khalifatul-Masih IV Visits Mexico

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV visited Mexico. He had lunch with 250 members of the Jama’at. A group of twenty-seven Mexicans accepted Ahmadiyya Islam. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, May June 1991, p. 6).

Forty-Third Annual Ahmadiyya Convetion

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) graced the Annual Ahmadiyya Convention No. 43 of USA Jama’at from 28-30 June 1991. The annual gathering was held at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, Michigan. About 4,000 people attended the convention.

The convention began with the Friday sermon by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV. The mayor of the city of Ypsilanti also attended the opening session. In the afternoon, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV viewed the Ahmadiyya Exhibition with guests. A historical documentary film covering a hundred years of Ahmadiyya history was also presented to the large number of guests in the Auditorium of the University.

On Saturday, June 29, 1991, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV addressed the ladies’ section. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, Vol. 72, April-September 2020, pp. 128).

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) presided over the concluding session of the convention. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V said:

1. Purify yourselves and find God within you.

2. Love of God and his servants is the ultimate guide to successful preaching.

Live on MTA

Masud Ahmad Jhelumi Passes Away

Missionary Masud Ahmad Jhelumi passed away on 23 August 1992 due to heart pathology.

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV said on his death: He was steadfast in face of trials and always advised his children to stay connected with Markaz with devotion. He secured a place in his heart due to these qualities. He died on August 23, 1992, due to heart pathology. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’oon. He was buried in a cemetery in Frankfurt. He was loyal to the Jama’at for sure. He left behind his wife and three children. Mosque in Florida

The Miami Jama’at purchased a house in Broward County, Florida, founding the first Ahmadi Mosque in the state of Florida. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette, USA, Vol. 72, Nos. 10-12 and Vol. 73, Nos. 1-9, October 2020-September 2021, p. 335).

Khalifatul-Masih IV Appreciates Sacrifices

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV appreciated the financial sacrifices of the Ahmadiyya Community USA.

He said: “By the grace of Allah, ever since you took office of Amir, the Jama’at has progressed in every area. Specially the finance department has made rapid progress. May Allah be with you and bless your efforts.” 

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) said: “America is third in Tahrik Jadid by paying 244,440 pounds. America has great potential and if America makes use of its potential fully, it is just possible that they will leave behind all the Jama’ats of the world. Zaheer Bajwa

Zaheer Bajwa has been serving as Ahmadiyya missionary USA since 1994. He had been Na’ib Amir from 2007 to 2010 and National General Secretary from 2013 to 2019. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette, USA, Vol. 72, Nos. 10-12 and Vol. 73, Nos. 1-9, October 2020-September 2021, p. 54).

Khalifatul-Masih IV Visits USA

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) visited the United States for the fourth time. He visited Los Angeles, Seattle as well as Vancouver, Canada. He then returned to the US visiting Washington DC and New York. The Amir of the US Jama’at, Sahibzadah M. M. Ahmad, welcomed Khalifatul-Masih IV and his guests. Earth Station

The Earth Station, a joint venture of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Communities Canada and USA, was inaugurated by Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV. Twenty-four hour transmission of MTA began from the US for North and South America. (Souvenir-Bait-ur-Rahman USA-Inauguration, pp. 6-7, the Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, January 1995, p. 9).

Forty-Sixth Ahmadiyya Annual Convention

The 46th Ahmadiyya Annual Convention of the USA was held at the newly constructed Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque for two days. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV delivered inaugural address on 14 October.

The next day, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV presided over the morning session of the Jalsa in the Lajna section. Then, he graced the men’s section in the afternoon session and delivered his final address at the end of which he led silent prayer. The number of guests who attended the Convention was over 6,000. Khalifatul-Masih IV Visits Chicago

Khalifatul-Masih IV and his entourage went to Chicago. He inaugurated the newly constructed Sadiq Mosque. This mosque was made at the same site where the historic Masjid Sadiq was located. The original building was demolished, and a purpose-built mosque was constructed. The mosque is located on Wabash Avenue. (Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, Vol. 72, April-September 2020, p. 133).

Become Top in Waqf-e-Jadid

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV asked Ahmadiyya Community USA to become number one in Waqf-e-Jadid. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, September 1995, pp. 21-22).

Forty-Seventh Annual Ahmadiyya Convention

The Forty-Seventh Annual Ahmadiyya Convention USA was held at Bait-ur-Rahman, Silver Spring, MD from 23-25 June 1995. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, June 1995, p. 9).

Third Majlis-i-Shura Ansarullah

The third Majlis-i-Shura Ansarullah, USA, was held at Bait-ur-Rahman Mosque on 15 September 1995. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, October-December 1995, p. 20).

Land Acquired

In 1996 a piece of land, about 4 acres, was purchased in the city of Allen for Dallas Chapter’s first mosque. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette, USA, Vol. 72, Nos. 10-12 and Vol. 73, Nos. 1-9, October 2020-September 2021, p. 573).

MTA Start 24h-Hour Trasnmission

Khalifatul-Masih IV Addresses National Amila

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) addressed the National Amila of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, USA on 30 June 1996 via the internet service of alislam.org. The address provided pearls of wisdom on how to discharge duties when one is appointed to any office of the Jama’at. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, Vol. 72, April-September 2020, p. 135).

Muzaffar Ahmad Zafr Passes Away

Brother Muzaffar Ahmad Zafr, Na’ib Amir, Jama’at USA, passed away. . (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, September-October 1996, p. 23).

Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam

The Promised Messiah (peace be on him) wrote his famous book “Philosophy of the Teachings of Islam” in 1897. Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) instructed members to commemorate 100 years of the compilation of the book. Khalifatul-Masih IV Inaugurates Mission House

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) inaugurated Bait-un-Nasir mission house in Sharon near Boston where Br Abid Hanif had acquired a parcel of land, Ahmadabad. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, August 1997, pp. 15-16).

Forty-Ninth Annual Convention

The Forty-Ninth Annual Convention of the US Jama’at was held at Bait-ur-Rahman Silver Spring, Maryland from 20-22 June 1997.

On 20 June 1997, Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV delivered Friday sermon. In the evening starting at 8 PM, he held Majlis-i-Irfan [question/answer session] amid three hundred guests and thousands of members of the US Jama’at.

He addressed the Lajna Ima’illah USA in the morning session of the convention on 21 June 1997. Later in the evening, he held Majlis-i-Irfan [question/answer session] in the Lajna section while the men watched the question-answer session on closed circuit T.V. 

He delivered the concluding address on 22 June 1997 and closed the Ahmadiyya Convention USA with revered prayers. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, August 1997, p. 4).

Khalifatul-Masih IV Announces Waqf-e-Jadid Positions

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV announced in his Friday Sermon that Jama’at Ahmadiyya USA contributed more to Waqf-e-Jadid than the rest of the world. Jama’at USA was second in Tahrik-e-Jadid in 1996. First position was maintained by the USA Jama’at in Waqf-e-Jadid as well as Tahrik-e-Jadid in 1997. (Khutbat-e-Tahir Vol. 16, pp. 807-8, Khutba 31 October 1997).

15th Majlis-i-Shura

The 15th Annual Consultative Body meeting (Majlis-i-Shura) of the US Jama’at was held at Bait-ur-Rahman, Silver Spring, Maryland. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, May 1998, pp. 13-14).

Khalifatul-Masih IV Delivers Friday Sermon

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) delivered Friday Sermon at Bait-ur-Rahman. He said: “When a person becomes a friend of God, it is impossible that he will not be a friend with other people.” (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, July-August 1998, p. 8).

Khalifatul-Masih IV Laid Foundation Stone

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih IV (may Allah shower His mercy on him) laid the foundation stone of Bait-us-Samee Mosque, Houston, TX. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, Vol. 72, April-September 2020, p. 139).

The mosque was completed in 2004 and was inaugurated by Amir Jama’at Dr. Ahsanullah Zafar.

17th Annual Ijtima of Majlis Ansarullah

The 17th Annual Ijtima‘ and 6th Majlis-i-Shura of Majlis Ansarullah, USA was held at Bait-ur-Rahman, Silver Spring, MD. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, September 1998, p. 27).

Fifty-First Annual Ahmadiyya Convention

The Fifty-First Annual Ahmadiyya Convention USA was held at Capitol Expo Conference Center, Chantilly, Virginia. More than 3,000 attended the convention. The first session of the convention was chaired by Sahibzadah M.M. Ahmad, Amir, Ahmadiyya Community, USA, who also delivered the inaugural address. (The Ahmadiyya Gazette USA, July-August 1999, p. 5).
