Khalifatul-Masih II

Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad (1889-1965) was elected as Khalifatul-Masih II (1914-1965) (may Allah be pleased with him) in Qadian. He was twenty-five years of age at the time. The newly elected second caliph of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community led the funeral prayers of Khalifatul-Masih I. The Khalifatul-Masih I was laid to rest in Bahishti Maqbarah, Qadian, on the right of the grave of the Promised Messiah, peace be on him.

American Missionary Visits Qadian

A well-known American missionary came to Qadian soon after Hazrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud Ahmad became caliph of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at. He asked Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II (may Allah be pleased with him) some important but tedious religious questions. Revelation About America

Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih II, may Allah be pleased with him, while addressing the first session of Jalsa Salana (annual convention) in Qadian, said, “I told you a revelation about America sometimes back. Now there is another one. In-Sha-‘Allah, Mufti Sahib (Muhammad Sadiq) shall proceed to America soon. A well-known poet and painter of America came to England and accepted Islam through our missionaries. Al-Hamdu-Lillah.” (Al-Fazl, 8 January 1920, p. 7).
